Caroline County Dataset License Agreement (30 KB) - This agreement is between the Licensor (Caroline County) and the Licensee (data user), acknowledging the request for data. Herein are the terms and conditions set by the Licensor in reference to the proper use, handling and disposal of the data, by the Licensee.
DNR Dataset License Agreement (65 KB) - *Only use this agreement if requesting datasets from the Department of Natural Resources. All other datasets require the default license agreement above.
ESRGC Dataset Distribution Agreement (36 KB) - This agreement is between the Distributor (ESRGC) and the Distributee (data user), acknowledging the request for data. Herein are the terms and conditions set by the Distributor in reference to the proper use, handling and disposal of the data, by the Distributee.
Caroline Image/Raster Dataset Fee Schedule (34 KB) - This schedule illustrates the breakdown of fees for the datasets. It describes the reproduction fees, data maintenance fees, special processing fees and user classifications.
Caroline Vector Dataset Fee Schedule (36 KB) - This schedule illustrates the breakdown of fees for available vector datasets.
Caroline Image/Raster Dataset Order Form (37 KB) - The order form is where specifications of the order are made. The requested data tiles and any special instructions for the deliverable data are to be included on the order form. Fee calculations can be made on this form, or you can email us at esrgc@salisbury.edu, with your order and we can calculate the price for you.

County-wide 1:2400 scale Orthophotography
The catalog of the available image tiles are presented on the Index Map left. Each tile is labeled with an alpha-numerical index indentifier according to the State of Maryland 1200m x 1800m grid index.
Municipal 1:1200 scale Orthophotography
The catalog of the available image tiles are presented on the Index Map left. Each tile is labeled with an alpha-numerical index indentifier. Each tile represents an area 600m x 900m.
1:12000 scale Quarter Quadrants
The catalog of the available image tiles are presented on the Index Map left. Each tile is labeled quarter-quad name. Each tile represents an approximate 5400m x 7000m.
We currently offer the following Caroline County spatial datasets for distribution:
Image/Raster Datasets
- 1:2,400 County-wide true color orthophotography, 2003.
- 1:1,200 Municipal true color orthophotography, 2003.
- 1:12,000 County-wide grayscale orthophotography, 1998.
Vector Datasets
- Caroline County Protected Lands Vector Layers, 2005.
- Caroline County Road Centerlines, 2004.

Dataset Examples
This is an example area of the County-wide 1:2400 scale Orthophotography. The resolution of these images are 10 inches/pixel. This means that each pixel in the image represent 10 sq. inches in the real world.
This is an example area of the Municipal 1:1200 scale Orthophotography. The resolution of these images are 6 inches/pixel. This means that each pixel in the image represent 6 sq. inches in the real world.
This is an example area of the Municipal 1:12000 scale Orthophotography. The resolution of these images are 1 meter/pixel. This means that each pixel in the image represent 1 sq. meter in the real world.
